The roots of DJ Scream go back much further than the name itself.

Han first emerged in the 1970s, long before stepping behind a club DJ booth. Years later, while working at Baltimore's legendary Hammerjacks, he began filling in as a DJ when needed—an extension of a life already built around rock, metal and the local music scene.

While still at Hammerjacks, Han landed a gig at 97 Underground, taking that musical identity onto the radio and becoming part of Baltimore's underground airwaves.

The next chapter came with the move from Hammerjacks to Sanctuary, where the environment changed—and, briefly, so did the name. DJ Scream emerged behind the decks, carrying the rock-and-metal foundation of Han into Sanctuary's darker, more eclectic club world.

The DJ Scream era may have been brief, but it became another piece of a musical identity stretching across decades—from Han, to radio, to the clubs, and now back again inside CastleWerx.
